Highly Favored

The concept of being #blessed in modern society has little to do with the realities of our everyday. Those who were “highly favored” in the Bible were chosen to live a testimony that would bring people closer to God. This idea of being chosen often led to intense trials and tribulations all for the privilege and honor of leading people in the Faith. The Highly Favored podcast highlights gritty individuals who are not afraid to be in the arena of life with blood, sweat, and tears. These are the people that you want fighting, literally and figuratively, alongside you. Season 1 is “Pray not Prey” as the podcast host, Kim Chatto, and guests share stories of resiliency, tenacity, and sometimes straight stubbornness in the most relatable conversations. Whether you’re a believer, have a faith journey, or not - these stories will resonate with you. After all, we’re all just trying to walk each other home. Kim Chatto is a veteran and single mother in Utah who also is Miss Willard Bay, competing in the 2025 Miss Utah for America Strong pageant. She hopes these stories inspire you and help build community both locally for you and globally through Highly Favored.

Relationships can impact how we think, respond to other people, grow, heal, and they have the capabilities of leaving a lifelong impression. If you could talk to an ex who had a tremendous impact on your life, good or bad, what would you say? If you've listened to the start of the podcast, you may be familiar with my two "main character" relationships that came out of Korea. One was chaotic and the other was super healthy. Well listeners, we're here to get vulnerable so bringing the chaotic relationship onto the pod. Excited to welcome my ex-boyfriend, Sean, to discuss overcoming challenges, what went wrong in our relationship, dating culture and how we've hopefully matured, and how we navigate life as tremendously imperfect Christians.

Podcast host Kim Chatto has a major issue with surface-level rhetoric when fed to Christians. She dives into how "bare minimum" is not the fruit-of-the-spirit and what diving into a deep, personally connected relationship with God should be like. We're seeking that Bread of Life, not just cake for spontaneous consumption...and Kim loves cake so there's that.
